perfect fitness???

i am a 13 year old girl looking to get in ultimate shape for the upcoming track season. it is a no-cut team at my school, so i don't think they'll make us work too hard. however, i am looking for tips and suggestions to be the best (i am only interested in the running events).
also, i am still in fairly decent shape from basketball season and i can run, do some sit-ups and push-ups and stuff like that. i have pretty good endurance and i am also natrually a very athletic person. i would like tips for becoming the fastest i can become, and have the most endurance for long distance runs. please any overall work-out fitness tips would be great! thanks!

First ask yourself what is prefect fitness ? Is just being phisically fit or is there more to it. In my mind perfect fitness is a balanced fit mind and body. To do this you need to eat well, move well, and think well. Work on all three of those areas and you'll do great. Stay clear of the fad diets and other gimmics and go for it. Find a good coach and follow his or her sound advise.
