Male Pheromone

I have a 10 year old female cat who is being bullied by our 5 year old male ...?

We have five cats that have lived happily together for two years. The youngest took to females and intimidation around her. It is totally panicked and started to pee and poop in the house. They use all a cat door and I've never had problems before. I have been using Feliway pheromone spray, but when they are left alone, it when "accidents" occur. Any advice? They do not use a little box ... they go outside with a door or chat windows. "Litter" box, haha!

Do you think it was a particular incident that triggered that, or is it simply a case of personality conflict? Looks like he may be more dominant mood, and feels confident enough to defy your cat for the right to the best places around the house. Is there a possibility that it was blocking access to the litter box? Except not, it marks its territory to assert his right to be there. The best way to maintain harmony between them, is to reduce competition. Make sure there are enough litter boxes, beds, toys etc. to go round. Cats also make use of vertical space in amount, and you can increase the size of their territory in the interior by adding cat trees, shelves, etc. The website below is really helpful article on cats that do disagree. He has lots of information and advice on how you can improve their relationships. You also find advice on treatment of territorial marking. 20problems/cats/frameset.html% http://www.celiahaddon.co.uk/pet This link also has tips that can be useful. http://wizz-catz.co.uk/multicat.html Do not be tempted to punish him, because it will make him resent her more. When he attacked her, making noise, or find another way to divert his attention. Cats respond much better to positive reinforcement, so when it might be nice to her, or at least be calm in his business, both rewards with their favorite food treats so he associates his good things. Hope this helps.
