What is better for losing weight; an exercise bike or treadmill?
I'm looking to lose a lot of weight before this summer and I was wondering what will help me to lose more weight; an exercise bike or treadmill?
That is a great question!
If you want to lose a lot of weight, starting with a bike or treadmill is good.
There are pros and cons to both.
The bike works the lower half of the body and works well for cardio training for long distance.
The treadmill IMHO is your better choice as it works your whole body and includes the cardio benefit. The beauty of the treadmill is you can add leg weights and hold on to dumbells to further the calorie burn.
I'm no doctor, but from what I've read, walking on the treadmill gives you the same benefit as jogging/running, but with far less stress on your joints.
For long term loss, combining both cardio and weights is the ultimate. There is no better way ie: pills and potions. You must put in effort along with a good diet. I know, because I've tried everything.
Here is something that can help you with a nice blend of cardio and weights and the result will astonish you. There are some down to earth before and afters that are real.
But of course, it all starts with you. No action, no loss. Muscle burns more calories during your day. When you lift weights, even a little, you'll sleep better, and get through your day with less effort and stress. See what you think:
