Micro Creatine Side Effects?
I am interested in the side effects of Micro Creatine. I am 16 years old and considering starting to take this. It says take 5 grams 4 times a day for the first 5 days, and then half a gram for as long as you use it.
Basically, my mom is worried about this creatine stunting my growth, and possible kidney stones.
It is worth noting I am in good health and have no kidney problems.
micronised creatine has been proven safe over long term use. it is cheap and it is effective, you must increasae water consumptoin when using creatine. this is because one of creatines functions is to draw water into the muscles. it is recommended that you load micro creatine for the first week, but it is not necessary. i had stomach cramping taking 20 grams a day for the first week. so i just went down to 5 grams per day, after a couple weeks, the creatine will absorb into your muscles. it takes a couple weeks longer, but you will avoid any potential stomach upset by not loading. also, 1/2 gram a day after that is incorrect. normal dosage should be between 3-5 grams post workout every day. on non workout days, you can take it when ever you want. but take 3-5 grams per day every day.
