An elderly patient with COPD, HTN, and increasing angina is being started on Norvasc
to replace his beta blocker. He is also taking an ACEI twice each day. When is he most
likely to be prescribed to take and Norvasc and why?
a. BID with meals to diminish gastric upset.
b. QD at 0600 to enhance absorption.
c. At bedtime to control BP spike in the AM.
d. After PM meal to control BP spike between 0200-0400.
I choose D.
But don't count on this as the right answer cuz my worst subject was Pharmacology.
